I finally understood, once and for all.

I didn’t struggle when they grabbed me, letting them tie me up without a fight.

I asked him, “Have you… been using me this entire time?”

As if afraid he hadn’t hurt me enough, he stepped forward and clamped his hand around my chin.

So that was it.

He had always known that my blood could bring dying characters in the comic back to life.

And that it could even allow those characters to enter the real world, turning them into flesh-and-blood humans.

In the room, seeing Bai Man weeping pitifully, Shen Jing reached out and pinched her chin.

The moment Shen Jing said those words, both Bai Man and I snapped our heads up to look at him—
