Chapter 22

A dull ache spread across my chest.

I remembered the day Shen Jing let them take me away.

I was kidnapped, locked in a dark room.

They just laughed.

Later, I was taken to a private underground hospital, tied to a bed by an orderly.

I ran into the next room.

Inside, Shen Jing sat by the bed, and the dying Bai Man was nestled in his arms.

Shen Jing saw me and frowned.

He stared at the people behind me: “A bunch of idiots, how could you let her get away?”
