One of the terrifying aspects of the Mog was the existence of special individuals.

Humanity classified those individuals according to the waves they emitted, and for that classification, they used the weight classes of Olympic boxing.

There were eight classes, ranging from the weakest, Fly-class, to the most powerful, Super Heavy-class.

But that didn’t mean a Fly-class was weak.

Just as a magnitude 3 earthquake couldn’t be considered completely harmless.

In other words, those powerful individuals were disasters simply by existing.

They were existences that had to be avoided rather than confronted!

And that was precisely what made the Mog so terrifying and the reason humanity had to grit its teeth and hunt them.

If a mere Fly-class was already enough to make them tremble in fear, what would happen if a Super Heavy-class appeared?

And what if that Super Heavy-class wasn’t even a Mogdog, but something like a Behemoth, an existence that already constituted a disaster all by itself?

In that case, the logical thing to do was eliminate it in advance as soon as they discovered it.

Of course, that wasn’t part of the common sense of ordinary Space Marines.

Among all of humanity, there was only one type of person for whom that could be considered common sense.

Psykers.

“We’ll begin hunting the Fly-class.”

That was precisely why Major Lee Hyena ordered them to hunt the Fly-class Mogdog without showing the slightest hesitation.

Of course, she knew it too.

She knew that, for Space Marines, this was completely outside what they considered common sense.

That was why, while giving the order, she mentally prepared herself.

‘A terrified soldier only becomes a burden. If they want to run away, I’ll let them go.’

She was prepared to let the two of them go.

She had no intention of clinging to them.

‘I’m already grateful enough to them for saving me.’

They had responded to the rescue signal she had sent when headquarters was destroyed and had gotten her out of there.

For that alone, Lee Hyena already owed both of them an enormous debt.

She had no intention whatsoever of using her rescuers however she pleased.

In other words, Major Lee Hyena was convinced of one thing.

Those two would hesitate.

“Private First Class Park Boseop.”

“Private First Class Park Boseop, ma’am!”

“Immediately set up an emergency air tent and prepare a battle suit.”

“Yes?”

However, contrary to what Major Lee Hyena expected, Kim Seojun didn’t show even the slightest hint of hesitation.

“Currently, Major, you don’t have your personal equipment. So at the very least, we need to provide you with one of our Space Marine battle suits. Move quickly. We don’t have time.”

He even took the most necessary measures for that situation.

Major Lee Hyena showed a surprised expression at that.

“Yes, sir!”

Meanwhile, Private First Class Park Boseop immediately took out the box containing the air tent and pulled the pin on the outside.

In truth, Park Boseop also knew that this was completely insane.

However, after everything he had experienced alongside Kim Seojun, he had learned one thing with absolute clarity.

‘First I obey Sergeant Kim’s orders, and then I think.’

If he wanted to survive, he could afford not to listen to his parents, but he had to listen to Kim Seojun.

Fwooosh!

When Park Boseop activated the air tent, a structure made from a special plastic shot out of the box and began rapidly inflating.

It was equipment designed for truly urgent situations.

Specifically, for moments when someone needed to operate immediately without having a battle suit available.

And that was precisely what Major Lee Hyena needed most at that moment.

It wasn’t that there were no Psykers capable of surviving in space with their bodies completely unprotected.

However, Major Lee Hyena wasn’t a Psyker of that level.

Naturally, she needed a space where she could get out of the medical suit and change into a battle suit.

The necessary preparations proceeded quickly.

While Park Boseop prepared the battle suit, Kim Seojun once again transported the medical suit loaded onto the military truck to the place where they had set up the air tent.

Throughout that entire process, Kim Seojun didn’t ask any particular questions.

He asked only one.

After the air tent was set up, Major Lee Hyena entered it, got out of the medical suit, and immediately put on the battle suit.

When she came back out, that was when Kim Seojun asked his first question.

“Major, I’m going to ask you an impertinent question. You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to. What is your ability?”

At that question, Lee Hyena raised an axe instead of the firearm used by Space Marines and answered.

“Super Strength.”

At that moment, they heard it.

Krrrrrrrrrr!

The roar of the Fly-class Mogdog.

Mogdogs were quite large.

Mogdogs were quite large.

They measured around two meters in length and, as if having four dog-like legs wasn’t enough, they also possessed an additional pair of limbs resembling those of a mantis.

To put it simply, they were approximately the size of a compact car.

Even compared to Space Marines, whose bodies became considerably larger when wearing their battle suits, their presence was no less imposing.

Krrrrrrrrrr!

And the Fly-class Mogdog belonged to a completely different category from ordinary Mogdogs simply in terms of its size.

As mentioned earlier, if an ordinary Mogdog was comparable to a small compact car, the Fly-class Mogdog was more like a car from a class above.

Its presence was completely different.

And so was its way of fighting.

An ordinary Mogdog was a rabid dog.

That was precisely why it had the word ‘dog’ in its name.

The moment they saw something, they threw themselves at it without thinking twice.

They didn’t care at all if their own bodies ended up torn to pieces.

Krrrrrrrrrr!

However, the Fly-class Mogdog that had just appeared didn’t even try to lunge at them.

It simply remained motionless in place while letting out that roar.

Kieeeeeek!

It merely watched from behind as the other Mogdogs charged at them.

That was a demonstration of confidence.

And at the same time, a display of power.

It was an individual that, in many ways, couldn’t help but be special.

And among humans, similar special individuals also existed.

Major Lee Hyena was one of them.

Facing the Mogdogs charging toward them, those monsters that didn’t even hesitate before the Space Marines’ powerful bullets, she charged while holding nothing but an axe.

She wasn’t even carrying a firearm.

And furthermore, that wasn’t even an axe designed as a weapon.

For starters, Space Marines weren’t issued weapons such as axes as part of their standard equipment.

Trying to fight Mog with an axe when they could barely be brought down with bullets was practically suicide.

And if the military wanted to make it easier for them to commit suicide, there were things far cheaper and easier to carry than an axe, such as cyanide.

That was why the axes normally issued had other purposes.

They were used to construct defensive positions or carry out recovery work after sudden natural disasters.

They were tools of that kind.

It was equipment designed exclusively with enormous destructive power and great durability in mind, and its size was terrifying as well.

Naturally, even Space Marines, whose battle suits increased their physical strength to a certain extent, had to use all their strength when wielding those axes.

It wasn’t uncommon for them to lose their balance after a single swing.

Furthermore, the gravity of planet Amotia was 1.33 G, considerably higher than Earth’s.

But Major Lee Hyena was different.

She held the axe with one hand and swung it with that same hand.

And she didn’t simply swing it.

She did so fast enough that it was difficult to follow the movement with the naked eye.

Crack!

She was so fast that, with a single blow, she split the head of a Mogdog lunging at her in two.

It was an astonishing sight.

A sight that made it difficult to believe that what they were seeing was real.

What made such a feat possible was the Prophet’s artifact that had been surgically implanted inside Major Lee Hyena’s chest.

That artifact granted her monstrous strength.

Strength capable of making even that of a gorilla seem ridiculous.

That was the reason Psykers could receive the best treatment humanity was capable of offering them.

Of course, that didn’t mean at all that every Psyker could become an existence like Major Lee Hyena.

For starters, she ranked fairly high even among Psykers.

She was Yellow Beginner-level.

In other words, she was at a sufficient level to carry out group missions on Yellow-grade planets.

Naturally, on Orange-grade planets, she could operate on her own.

That was the reason she was there.

And she was demonstrating that reason with her entire body.

Crack!

With every one-handed swing of Major Lee Hyena’s axe, the Mogdogs were reduced to pulp.

Of course, hundreds of them were charging at her, and it was impossible to face them all while remaining planted in the same spot like a stake.

She moved as well.

With all her strength.

In particular, she jumped.

Naturally, with the monstrous strength she possessed, her jumping ability was also completely outside the norm.

Thanks to those jumps, she could avoid being surrounded by the Mogdogs much more easily than one might imagine.

And in her eyes, the Mogdogs no longer appeared.

She saw only the Fly-class Mogdog, which continued flaunting its presence while roaring.

Krrrrrrrrrr!

That was all.

She didn’t even pay attention to anything else.

The same was true of the two Space Marines.

She didn’t pay attention to them either.

Rat-tat-tat-tat!

Although gunfire rained down without pause, to her it was nothing more than trying to put out a massive fire with a fire extinguisher.

However, that perception changed very quickly.

Rat-tat-tat-tat!

The gunfire continued coming without pause.

Judging solely by the sound, it seemed like a burst fired by someone who had simply closed their eyes and held down the trigger.

Thud!

But the moment she jumped amid that gunfire, Major Lee Hyena could see it.

‘Are there fewer?’

The number of Mogdogs had decreased considerably.

Of course, at first she thought it was an illusion.

However, every time she jumped, the number of Mogdogs rapidly decreased.

At that point, Major Lee Hyena couldn’t help but realize it.

‘That sergeant?’

Sergeant Kim Seojun, whose name she still couldn’t even clearly remember, was doing something completely absurd.

Rat-tat-tat-tat!

And on top of that, he was blatantly displaying his abilities without even attempting to hide them.

From Kim Seojun’s perspective, it was only natural.

‘I gain nothing by hiding it.’

He knew perfectly well that what he was displaying at that moment was beyond all common sense.

‘Though it is pretty absurd.’

He also knew perfectly well that displaying that ability would arouse suspicion.

He might even end up being dragged somewhere someday to be dissected.

After all, you never knew what could happen in life.

‘……Any problems this might cause me will come after I survive.’

However, Kim Seojun knew perfectly well that, in the life of a Space Marine, worrying about things like that was a luxury.

Whatever the case, this wasn’t the time to do something like ‘a reenlisted Space Marine hides his true power.’

Kim Seojun willingly used one hundred percent of his abilities.

Rat-tat-tat!

He pulled the trigger without pause.

Furthermore, this represented an extraordinarily good opportunity for Kim Seojun.

Vroooooom!

For starters, at that moment he had the mobility provided by an exceptional driver like Private First Class Park Boseop.

Crack!

And all the attention of the Mogdogs charging at them was focused exclusively on Major Lee Hyena.

In that situation, Kim Seojun only had to aim the barrel and pull the trigger the moment the red line touched the target.

[You have eliminated a Mogdog. You have obtained 2 points.]

[You eliminated it with a single shot. You will be awarded 4 additional points as a One Shot, One Kill bonus.]

And Kim Seojun also intended to make sure he obtained as many points as possible.

Naturally, at that moment Kim Seojun was very clear about one thing.

‘I have to kill the Fly-class Mogdog.’

That disaster running across the battlefield.

It was then.

“Sergeant!”

Through the battle suit’s headset, he heard the voice of Major Lee Hyena, who continued smashing the heads of Mogdogs in the middle of the battlefield.

“I’m Sergeant Kim Seojun.”

Kim Seojun began by telling her his name.

Because he knew.

He knew that Major Lee Hyena didn’t remember his name.

And there was nothing strange about that either.

For starters, Psykers lived in a completely different world from ordinary people like Space Marines.

In fact, it would have been strange if she remembered the name of an ordinary Space Marine she had just met.

“Sergeant Kim Seojun.”

So he told her his name without any problem, and in response to that consideration, Major Lee Hyena showed consideration of her own.

“Don’t worry about me. Shoot.”

She was telling him that she trusted Kim Seojun’s skills.

Hearing Major Lee Hyena’s words over the same communication channel, Park Boseop showed a surprised expression.

‘My God.’

Park Boseop didn’t know too much about Psykers, but he had at least received some advice from his superiors.

One of those pieces of advice was that, if he ever encountered a Psyker, he shouldn’t expect them to treat him like a human being.

And now that Psyker had just acknowledged Sergeant Kim Seojun’s skills?

It was surprising in many ways.

Kim Seojun, however, reacted differently.

“Thank you, ma’am.”

As he spoke those brief words, there was neither emotion nor surprise on Kim Seojun’s face.

Partly because he knew they weren’t in a situation where he could afford such emotions.

But also because, from Kim Seojun’s perspective, this wasn’t the first time.

In other words, although there had only been a few, he had already had some experiences where a Psyker had acknowledged his abilities.

Of course, they hadn’t acknowledged him for his combat ability or anything like that.

It had been more like recognition of the kind.

‘Wow, you survived that?’

But whatever the case, it was still recognition.

And above all, Kim Seojun knew perfectly well that this wasn’t the time to get excited about something like that.

In that battle, it didn’t matter how many Mogdogs they eliminated.

‘If we don’t kill the Fly-class Mogdog, we’ll be wiped out.’

In the end, the outcome of that battle would depend on what happened with the Fly-class Mogdog.

And Kim Seojun couldn’t say that he had an overly positive assessment of their chances in that confrontation.

It wasn’t because he underestimated Major Lee Hyena.

‘From what I can see, Major Lee Hyena is at least Yellow Beginner-level.’

Far from underestimating her, Kim Seojun was surprised that a Psyker Agent of such a level had come to a place like this.

‘A Fly-class Mogdog shouldn’t pose any problem.’

Furthermore, with that level of power, under normal circumstances, the current situation wouldn’t have represented too serious an obstacle either.

‘If she had all her equipment.’

The problem was that Major Lee Hyena wasn’t using her own equipment.

She was simply wearing a Space Marine battle suit.

Naturally, Psykers had specialized equipment.

Extremely expensive equipment manufactured using all kinds of special materials that were difficult to obtain.

However, because of the emergency situation, she hadn’t been able to recover her personal equipment.

And that difference was considerable.

In particular, the durability of a Fly-class Mogdog was on a completely different level from that of an ordinary Mogdog.

‘With my current weapon, it’ll be difficult to inflict significant damage on it.’

It was so durable that it was difficult to inflict a lethal wound on it with the automatic rifles issued to Space Marines.

That meant the axe Major Lee Hyena was currently holding also represented a considerable disadvantage.

In many ways, that battle would inevitably be fierce.

‘I have a card that might work. There’s no reason to take unnecessary risks.’

However, Kim Seojun had a card up his sleeve.

A card that could allow them to end that battle much more easily than expected.

Nor was it some extraordinary plan that required racking his brains, something only someone with a brain on Doctor Space’s level could come up with.

There was nothing complicated about it.

There was an extremely simple method.

‘Even a needle will eventually pierce something if it pricks exactly the same spot enough times.’

Concentrate all the shots on a single point.

Of course, thinking about it was easy.

Putting it into practice was practically impossible.

In the middle of a fierce battle, simply hitting the target was already difficult enough.

And on top of that, concentrating every shot on exactly one point on that target?

Even with Kim Seojun’s current abilities, that was impossible.

Precisely because of that.

Krrrrrrrrrr!

The Fly-class Mogdog, which until then had remained motionless, finally began to move.

And just as Major Lee Hyena also prepared to begin the real battle, Kim Seojun said.

“I’m going to use a Stimpak.”
