His Secret
After getting Lu Xiao to the hospital.
The doctor gave him an IV, and he was no longer in danger.
I watched him lying on the hospital bed, eyes tightly closed.
I didn’t know what to do.
Lu Xiao had completely disregarded his severe alcohol allergy just to explain things to me.
Should I be touched, or should I call him crazy?
My phone rang; it was Chen Xing.
Chen Xing: “Mengmeng, are you home yet?”
I instinctively lied: “Oh, oh, I’m home.”
Chen Xing breathed a sigh of relief: “That’s good.
“Mengmeng… you and Lu Xiao…”
I glanced at Lu Xiao on the bed, then turned my back and lowered my voice,
“Oh, he’s my mom’s friend’s son, we know each other.”
Chen Xing: “That’s good. I was worried just now, so I turned back at the next bus stop to look for you, but I couldn’t find you.”
I smiled: “Don’t worry, I’m about to go to sleep.”
After chatting about school for a bit, I hung up.
I turned around and saw Lu Xiao was already awake and sitting up, I wondered how much he’d heard.
Lu Xiao propped up his legs, looking at me lazily.
His drawn-out tone, however, was clearly displeased: “So much to talk about?”
