His Secret

The whole time, I tried my best to huddle in a corner and snack.

After finishing a plate of sunflower seeds, my mouth felt a bit dry.

While getting juice, I stepped on a guy’s foot, and Chen Qiao frantically winked at me.

I realized I had probably stepped on someone from the Law School.

I gestured an apology and turned to leave.

“Aren’t you going to apologize, classmate?” The guy, however, wasn’t going to let me off easily.

Chen Qiao, pulling her newly-charmed dance partner, came over to smooth things over.

Before she could finish, a small cheer erupted in the hall.

Our attention was drawn over.

A girl nearby stomped her foot excitedly: “I heard Lu Xiao is coming!”

Another girl asked: “Is Lu Xiao that handsome guy who was secretly photographed on the platform last time?”

“Qi Mengmeng.” The guy from the Law School waved his hand in front of my eyes.

My attention was pulled back.

“May I have this dance?” As he extended his hand to me, a young couple entered through the entrance.

These two seemed like natural protagonists; in an instant, almost everyone’s gaze in the hall converged on them.

It was Lu Xiao and Qin Yi.
