Seven Days of Love Chapter 17

Chapter 17

When he called my name.

There wasn’t much emotion in it again.

The warmth that had just welled up in my heart instantly receded.

It was as if we were just two business rivals about to negotiate, devoid of any personal feelings.

I spoke first: “You are not getting the child.”

“Absolutely, not a chance.”

Jin Lan: “You were clearly pregnant with my child, why did you lie back then?”

I smiled, my lips a bit dry: “Because I really did sleep with Shen Qi back then.”

Jin Lan looked at me in silence.

He used to be like this—when he was furious to the point of breaking, he would go quiet instead.

Just like that day when he stormed into the bar room and caught me lying in bed with someone else.

His eyes were bloodshot.

Like a lone wolf returning from a hunt, its eyes stained with blood.

Though I didn’t know what was going on, I instinctively rushed over to hug him.

Then I shouted at the other man to leave.

If he hadn’t left, someone would have died in that room today.

After the man left, I sat on the floor trembling, as if all the strength had been drained from my body.

Because I couldn’t remember a single thing about the night before.

Jin Lan’s hand rested gently on my head, stroking it: “Lin Qiqi, let’s get a divorce.”

I shook my head.

His voice was terrifyingly calm: “If you don’t divorce me, are you trying to make me kill you?”
