It looks like I got too cozy with Yan Ru Feng, and Qi Ru Chen carried me off like a flowerpot—dropped me, then hoisted me up again, all the way to the new house.
He kicked the door open, revealing a pink-themed room with a Hello Kitty doll rolling to the ground. He paused, then confirmed it was his bedroom. Qi Ru Chen let go, and I crashed to the floor with a thud.
Chapter 10: Brother-in-Law
Qi Ru Chen literally trashed me, but he just strolled away coolly. I lay on the ground, dizzy for a few minutes before crawling onto the bed.
The next day, Qi Ru Chen was gone all day, but he didn’t skimp on me—like feeding a fat pig during the Spring Festival, constantly bringing food and snacks.
I realized he was fattening me up on purpose. To keep me lively, he needed to rip out my heart and stuff it with meat. That’s how much he cared.
After lunch, I regretted it immediately. My current build was already thin. If I ate for two more days, I’d be fully stuffed. Survival came first, so I stormed into the bathroom and purged what I’d just eaten.
Evening fell, and the shadows came out to play. Sure enough, Qi Ru Chen and Ji Xiao Chu showed up hand in hand.
I didn’t dare eat dinner that night, so I lay on the leather sofa in the living room, looking dead. When people arrived, I sprang up like a spring onion.
Facing his authority, I smiled obsequiously: “Sister, Brother-in-Law, why don’t you two chat? I’ll step out for some air.”
Ji Xiao Chu’s cheeks flushed, pretending to be timid and bulliable: “Sister! How dare you call him Brother-in-Law? That’s an insult!”
“Hey you two, your lovey-dovey crap smeared my face. I might as well be upfront—right, Brother-in-Law?”
I loved seeing Qi Ru Chen’s exasperated face. He looked annoyed but couldn’t bear to mess with me. That’s what I call interesting.
“Ru Chen, look at this!”
With a cutesy voice, Ji Xiao Chu stomped her foot and lifted her teary eyes to Qi Ru Chen, the lecherous hubby.
“A good dog doesn’t block the road!”
I was about to bolt when Qi Ru Chen grabbed me, then had several white-coated docs drag me to the sofa. I was bound and gagged, paralyzed, and hit with a wave of primal fear.
“Qi Ru Chen, have mercy! This isn’t a sterile environment—it’s not fit for surgery!”
The green-tea bitch, probably annoyed by my noise, clung to Qi Ru Chen and pouted: “Ru Chen, isn’t this too cruel?”
“She deserves it.”
Calling Qi Ru Chen a dog guy is an insult to dogs. He’s a killer—if he hasn’t got a criminal record, I don’t believe him.
My mind raced: dismembering bodies, or… maybe he’ll carve out my heart and mince the rest into filling for dumplings? I screamed, “Save me! Live dissection!”
The doctor in white gloves was about to grab a scalpel. I was terrified—I’d barely survived double eyelid surgery, and this was open-heart!
The snooty bitch must’ve found me loud, so she hugged Qi Ru Chen and whined, “Ru Chen, I’m scared.”
I wanted to explode: “Get lost! Shouldn’t *you* be scared? Why don’t you take her place?”
