The White Moonlight Kidnapping Plan
Lu Ting frowned as he looked at me and the white moonlight.
But I had a feeling he looked at the white moonlight first.
When Lu Ting saw the skinny kidnapper stuffing the rag back into my mouth, he shouted, “Don’t touch her! I’ll pay whatever ransom you want.”
I was so moved I let out a muffled howl.
Perhaps the howling was too loud, because the skinny guy seemed to get rougher, and it even woke up the boss.
The boss was surprisingly laid back; he’d been sleeping on the sofa in the back during this high-stakes standoff.
Probably annoyed by my howling, he sat up slowly.
He was wearing a smiley-face mask, but I could clearly sense his terrifying morning—or rather, waking—grumpiness.
The boss rested his hand on the back of the sofa and pointed a finger at me from across the room.
Then, a lazy, languid voice drifted over:
“Cut out her tongue.”
