He and His Black Moonlight Chapter 41

Chapter 41

We had been living rough under the cliff for nearly half a month.

The pain in my abdomen was becoming increasingly pronounced.

I would wake up in the middle of the night in agony, only to have a mouthful of blood surge up.

Falling off that cliff had left me with severe internal injuries after all.

Shen Jing was fast asleep.

He once told me that he had been on the run for seven or eight years, and this period was the most peaceful sleep he had ever known.

I covered my mouth, but the blood kept gushing out from my throat, uncontrollable.

I didn’t make a single sound.

I curled up in the corner, my back hunched.

Shen Jing suddenly woke up. He spoke softly, “Manman?”

I didn’t dare to turn around.

He gently pulled me into his arms.

Still the same way—the way one would hold a child.

I managed a smile, but the blood only flowed more violently.

I couldn’t even manage another word to him; the metallic taste of blood filled my throat and nasal cavity.

Shen Jing wiped my face. “Manman, I beg you… don’t leave me.”

The young man’s voice was hoarse and lonely to the extreme. A look of both weeping and smiling appeared on his face: “Why are you doing this?”

My vision was already blurring.

Cold droplets fell onto my brow.

He pressed his face tightly against mine. “If you dare to abandon me…”

“I will go and kill everyone you care about…”
