Chapter 49
Qin Yi finished peeling the apple.
Lu Xiao snatched it away and took a crunchy bite.
Qin Yi: “I peeled that for my sister-in-law, are you sick in the head?!”
Lu Xiao: “She doesn’t like apples.”
“Don’t you have class? Why aren’t you leaving yet?”
Qin Yi was furious. “Fine, remember this, Lu! Don’t come looking for me when you need something later!”
Lu Xiao started peeling an orange for me.
He curled his lip slightly: “I wouldn’t come looking for you even if I didn’t need anything.”
Qin Yi flipped him off and stormed out.
I only found out later that Qin Yi had applied to the Police Academy.
Her father was a police officer, and she’d been training in boxing, Sanda, and Taekwondo since she was a kid.
So, when Lu Xiao approached her, she agreed immediately.
She was even excited about it.
She said it had been a long time since she’d had a legitimate excuse to beat someone up.
She even claimed she could beat the crap out of that girl.
Of course, that required some waiting.
The reason Lu Xiao chose to study law was specifically to ensure he could personally send that woman to prison.
But he had to wait for Kana to attempt to hurt someone again.
That was why Lu Xiao couldn’t reach out to me or tell me the truth.
