My Life is Not Yours to Control Chapter 14

Chapter 14

This trip, Chu Ge and I went to many places, and I insisted on following the route he had taken alone years ago.

I hadn’t expected him to have traveled to so many countries on his own.

How did he manage to pass the lonely and isolated times in those places where even two people would feel lonely?

We watched wild animals running on the grassland, saw the ancient pyramids, and embraced under the starry sky, letting the moonlight merge our shadows together, as if compensating for the parts we were missing.

When Chu Ge proposed again with the ring, even he couldn’t help but laugh: “I’m really annoyed that you spoiled the surprise so early…”

I smiled as he put the ring on me, and he kissed my hand seriously: “This time, you can’t run away.”

I nodded: “I don’t plan on running.”

We returned home not long after, and both families began preparing for the wedding.

The usually fearless Chu Ge was so nervous the night before the wedding that he went to the living room to drink water.

I also couldn’t sleep and came to the balcony to enjoy the breeze.

The cool breeze carried the starlight, and I knew tomorrow would be a good day.

I looked downstairs and saw a familiar car parked below, with a figure leaning against it. His fingertips had a faint red dot, and I didn’t know how long he had stood there.

At the moment I stepped out, he straightened up immediately, then saw Chu Ge wrapping a coat around me, and slowly bent his knees again.

Chu Ge muttered, “It’s the day we’ll see the bride, and you’re already so eager.”

I stretched my legs and kissed him on the lips, suddenly having a mischievous thought: “Are you worried?”

Chu Ge tightened his grip on my hand: “Worried about what? I’ve already pampered you to death. No one else will be able to compare to me in your eyes from now on.”

I smiled and tightened my grip on his hand, but he caught me from between the legs and carried me away.

“Sleep already. Tomorrow is our big day.”

Chu Ge and I had a very grand wedding, and we received everyone’s blessings.

I could almost see how happy I would be in the future.

I was grateful that fate had given me a second chance, allowing me to find Chu Ge again.

Being with the one you love is enough to make life complete.
