Chapter 5
I thought Lin Wanwan was just spoiled and didn’t have much real courage.
But now I realized she was brazenly stealing and using my cosmetics.
She had been harboring anger ever since the bed-swapping incident failed.
She intentionally and unintentionally brought me up in front of our counselor.
I thought the stealing incident was over, but I didn’t expect Lin Wanwan to be even more ruthless this time!
Early on a weekend morning, she started shrieking at the top of her lungs.
“My watch is missing!”
“It’s a Patek Philippe!”
I was woken up by her bright and early, extremely annoyed.
Liu Cuiying: “Wanwan, why don’t you look for it carefully! The dorm is only so big, who knows where it might have fallen!”
Xie Tian was also helping to search.
“Yeah, maybe it fell under the bed.”
I continued playing dead in bed, ignoring them.
A Patek Philippe watch isn’t cheap; that’s going to take a while to find!
The dorm was in chaos, and my sleepiness completely vanished.
Even though it was Lin Wanwan who lost her watch, she was sitting on her bed without an ounce of panic, while Liu Cuiying and Xie Tian were running around frantically searching.
Suddenly, her gaze locked onto my back.
I had a faint feeling something was wrong.
Sure enough, Lin Wanwan pointed at me and spoke up.
“Song Wei, my watch is missing. Why aren’t you helping me look for it?”
As soon as she spoke, the dorm immediately went silent.
Two pairs of eyes stared back and forth between me and Lin Wanwan.
I let out a light chuckle.
“Your watch is missing, what does that have to do with me? Why should I help you find it, are you missing an arm or a leg?”
Lin Wanwan didn’t get angry.
Sitting on her bed, she said slowly: “If you won’t help me look, then you must be guilty! You definitely took my watch!”
Hearing this, I burst out laughing.
I had never seen someone so unreasonable.
If I don’t help her, she forcefully pins the blame on me.
“Is your head stuffed with tofu dregs?!”
I retorted angrily.
As a result, she scrambled down, ran straight over to my desk with practiced familiarity, and smoothly made a phone call.
Then she pulled a box out from my closet.
I frowned.
That wasn’t my box.
However, she didn’t rush to open it. Instead, she stood there looking smug.
“Song Wei, poor people should have some ambition. Stop doing these sneaky, thieving things!”
Heh, that sounded a lot like what I had said to her a few days ago!
I had a pretty good idea of what was going on.
She lost her watch, probably planted it in my closet ahead of time, and then brought people in to frame me.
Heh, petty tricks.
Sure enough, the counselor arrived shortly after.
A middle-aged man with a protruding beer belly and a sleazy face.
Lin Wanwan immediately latched onto the counselor as if she had found her savior.
“It’s her! She stole my watch! I found this inside her closet!”
The man in front of me glared at me.
A large crowd of people had gathered at the dorm door to watch the drama unfold.
“You stole it?”
His greasy, fat hands held the box, while Lin Wanwan hid behind him with a smug look on her face.
I shook my head expressionlessly.
“It wasn’t me.”
“Stole someone else’s things and won’t even admit it???”
Me: …
At this point, they were just forcibly convicting me!
