My Roommate Mocked Me for Carrying a Snakeskin Bag Chapter 4

Chapter 4

I was in a miserable daze for several days.

Meanwhile, Lin Wanwan looked radiant every day, and Gu Xiaoyun rarely contacted me.

Only when I occasionally texted “Are you there?”

Would he reply.

That night, when Lin Wanwan came back from outside, there was a faint reddish mark on her smooth neck.

I stared blankly for a few seconds.

My mind instinctively connected it to Gu Xiaoyun.

Normally at this hour, he should be in the library reading.

Suddenly, I noticed a brand-new handbag in her hands.

My heart skipped a beat.

I looked closely.

It was the exact same limited-edition designer bag my bestie had bought for me previously! Every bag had a unique serial number on it. I pulled up my chat history and found the conversation with my bestie.

I immediately turned around and rummaged through my closet. Sure enough, there was only an empty box left inside.

Xie Tian and Liu Cuiying had the desire to steal but not the guts.

But Lin Wanwan was different.

I walked up to her, picked up the bag on her desk, and looked in a hidden corner to find the serial number [0751].

It was definitely mine.

I crossed my arms and interrogated her: “Lin Wanwan, what’s the meaning of stealing my bag?!”

This bag wasn’t ridiculously expensive, but it was a gift from my best friend. It couldn’t be measured with money.

Lin Wanwan pretended to be completely clueless.

“Your bag? My parents bought this limited edition for me!”

???

Lying right to my face?

I sneered: “Lin Wanwan, the next time you steal someone else’s stuff, could you please check the serial number on it!”

I didn’t waste any more words and directly pulled the box out from my closet.

Pointing at the serial number printed on it.

Lin Wanwan just panicked for a second when she saw it. Then she glanced at the snakeskin bag sitting next to my desk and laughed.

She raised her neck, looking full of arrogance.

“Your bag? I just wanted to remind you that someone gifted you a fake A-grade knockoff, but I didn’t expect you to act like a biting dog over it. Any bag I pull out at random is more expensive than yours!”

I burst out laughing.

I didn’t put any stock in those bags of hers at all.

Cheap junk.

I spoke sarcastically: “No, wait, Lin Wanwan. Didn’t you just say your parents bought this limited edition for you? How come now it’s an A-grade knockoff someone gifted me?”

“You look pretty enough, stop doing these petty, thieving things!”

Seeing Lin Wanwan’s face turn ashen.

I smiled smugly.

I didn’t expect her to be so thick-skinned. She stole someone’s bag and still claimed she was doing her roommate a favor. Hilarious.

Lin Wanwan stiffened her neck, ready to argue with me.

I picked up the dustpan shovel resting nearby.

“What, you wanna fight?”

Liu Cuiying and Xie Tian watched in fear and trembling, quickly trying to persuade me to stop, afraid of offending a “big shot” like Lin Wanwan.

If my guess was right, the so-called school executive in her family was probably just some lowly director.

Desperate to save face, Lin Wanwan threw my bag to the side.

“A country bumpkin is a country bumpkin. Carrying a fake bag around and getting as happy as a dog over it!”

Hearing that, I laughed out of sheer anger.

And snapped back.

“Still better than someone who steals!”

She couldn’t hold onto her pride anymore.

And finally shut her mouth.
