I flinched.

I turned around. Jin Lan’s hair was a mess, as if he’d just been running.

I said: “Hey, what a coincidence.”

He pulled at the corner of his mouth, a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

“Not a coincidence.

“I’ve been staking you out for three days.”

I was startled, and then Jin Lan pointed at Tuotuo: “My son?”

Although the two of them looked exactly alike—Tuotuo looked like a cute, miniature version of Jin Lan.

I still intended to lie through my teeth.

Jin Lan ignored me, bent down on one knee, and touched Tuotuo’s face with somewhat stiff movements.
