I’m Lin Tuotuo, and my mom is dead.

It was on her way back from the supermarket, during the rush hour when traffic was heavy.

She was hit by a car.

But she still remembered she had to rush back to make me dinner. The day before, she’d said she learned a new recipe and was going to show off her skills for me today.

The first day, she didn’t know she was dead.

But I felt a bit scared; Mom’s neck was all twisted out of shape.

Just like the way my puppy looked when it got hit and killed.

Luckily, by the second day, she looked just like she had when she was alive.

And besides me, some other people could see her too.

You couldn’t even tell she was actually a ghost.

My mom was a total goofball when she was alive.

And she’s just as funny now that she’s dead.

I had bronchitis, but I really wanted a Zhongxuegao ice cream.

To tease me, she waited until I’d gone into school before buying two of them.

She sat there eating them, while grabbing her own throat and coughing wildly just to scare me.
