Seven Days of Love

I finally have a dad.

Two days later, my mom seemed to realize she was a ghost too.

She spent every day drifting around the room, telling me the love stories between her and my dad from all those years ago.

I asked her, “Then why did you two break up?”

She hovered in mid-air.

Sitting cross-legged with her chin in her hand, she looked deeply pensive: “Hmm.”

“You’re still young; you wouldn’t understand adult matters.”

I said, “If you tell me, I’ll understand.”

She rolled her eyes and covered her forehead.

After a long while, she sighed: “It was just bad luck on my part.”

“Besides, your dad has someone new now.”

“If you don’t like her, just ignore her.”

She thought for a moment and added: “If she dares to bully you.”

“You hit her back, you hear me?”

“Lin Tuotuo, if you really can’t win, just tell your dad.”
