Before the start of my junior year, my parents strongly opposed my decision to transfer from the US back to a domestic university. My dad, in particular, was absolutely furious when he heard I was going to North China Institute of Technology.

But I knew the real reason he was mad: the girl he was keeping as a mistress was a student there.

Her name was Qu Fang. Before enrolling, I found out there were only two people in her dorm room, so I moved right in.

When I arrived at the dorm building, it was packed with people, but all I could see was Qu Fang, standing radiant in the crowd.

I heard her rich second-generation boyfriend had just switched to a limited-edition Ferrari. Of course she had to bring it out to show off and bask in everyone’s envy and flattery.

I took one glance and walked inside, acting as if there was no one else around.

What’s a Ferrari? That wasn’t the extent of her tricks.

I had no idea how much money she had coaxed out of my dad, or if she’d gotten any real estate. I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing, or by the time I came back from abroad, there wouldn’t be a single penny left for me.

Fortunately, right now, I was in the shadows, while Qu Fang was out in the open.

My investigation revealed that my dad wasn’t her only man. I had to use this to completely destroy her.

Hearing the cheers of the students behind me, I thought to myself: the higher you’re lifted, the harder you fall.
