Chapter 11
Because I became a guide during military training, my photo was displayed on the school’s bulletin board.
An upperclassman from the arts department approached me to collaborate on some self-media content.
He provides the creative ideas, and I provide the face.
I hesitated for a moment, then agreed.
This counts as a way to make money outside of my major.
I looked at myself in the mirror and pinched my cheeks.
As expected of a villainous supporting character, this face is useful—no need to slave away washing dishes.
Less than two days later, photos of a butler delivering items to Yang Qi in a luxury car behind the school were anonymously posted on the school’s intranet, claiming she had an improper relationship with someone from the outside world.
The comments below were full of insults, many of them anonymous.
“The taste of these rich guys is failing; driving a Maybach just to like a girl like this.”
“Do you think this Yang Qi dresses like this in bed with her sugar daddy too?”
“Disgraceful!”
According to the plot, this was supposed to be my scene, but how could I ever do something so low-class?
Could it be that Yang Qi has become so obsessed with the plot that she’s even cyberbullying herself?
I really couldn’t imagine anyone being that crazy.
She found me in private, her eyes spitting fire.
“Yang Zheng, I know you did this because I stopped you from bribing the counselor to keep your monitor position. You’re holding a grudge, but the truth will come out!”
Me: “If you say one more word, I’m calling the police. We’ll see whose truth comes out.”
Yang Qi was silenced. If I called the police, the plot would go haywire, and that’s the last thing she wants.
“If you keep acting like this, you’ll ruin everything! The power of the plot is irresistible!”
I spread my hands and smiled. “If the world is destined for me to be that miserable, then I’d rather this world didn’t exist.”
