Seven Days of Love Chapter 14

Chapter 14

The car pulled over to the side of the road.

I saw the veins bulging on the back of Jin Lan’s hands as they gripped the steering wheel.

He looked up at me: “Lin Qiqi, would it kill you not to lie?”

I was hit where it hurt.

I grabbed Tuotuo and tried to pull the car door open to get out.

The door was locked.

Jin Lan’s expression darkened, his lips pressed into a thin line.

The muscles in his cheeks were twitching.

It was as if anger were burning beneath his skin.

I didn’t dare make a sound.

Seeing me like this seemed to make him even angrier; he slammed on the gas, and the car sped off again.

The journey was long, and Tuotuo and I drifted off to sleep without realizing it.

I don’t know how much time passed, but I felt a figure looming over me.

He even went to pick me up directly.

Although he had made his movements very gentle, I still woke up after he took two steps.

I was curled up in Jin Lan’s arms, and he looked down at me: “You can sleep a bit more.”

I shook my head: “Put me down, please.”

I felt his fingers tighten, then loosen.

I asked him: “What about Tuotuo?”

He tilted his chin toward the side: “He’s asleep.”

I looked over and saw one of his assistants carrying Tuotuo, following behind us.
