Luo Huanghun looked at Murong Feng. Was it because she had met him again in this life that his fate had changed, and hers along with it?

Luo Huanghun couldn’t help but cup Murong Feng’s face, studying it. “Your forehead isn’t dark… this face doesn’t look like someone destined to die young…”

Murong Feng had to restrain himself from tossing this little mystic off his lap.

Once Luo Huanghun finally breathed a sigh of relief and accidentally met Murong Feng’s gaze, she realized what a shocking thing she had just done.

Luo Huanghun lowered her head sheepishly. “It’s getting late. Shouldn’t the Prince be heading back?”

Murong Feng arched an eyebrow. “How can Miss Luo be like this? Discarding me as soon as you’re done with me?”

Luo Huanghun pressed a hand to her forehead. This guy really spoke without any restraint. She had no idea how the rumors of him being cold and unapproachable had started…

She pointed toward the window. “If you don’t leave now, don’t even think about coming in next time.”

Luo Huanghun’s intention was to drive Murong Feng away, but who knew his eyes would light up? “There’s a next time?”

Seeing that Luo Huanghun was about to get angry again, Murong Feng followed her lead smoothly. He planted a kiss on her cheek and then swiftly flew out the window. “Remember to wait for me!”

Luo Huanghun slammed the window shut, then touched the cheek he had kissed. She couldn’t help the corners of her mouth turning up into a smile.

Murong Feng didn’t even wait until evening. Early the next morning, he came to ask Luo Huanghun out.

Luo Chenhui, who viewed Murong Feng as his idol, invited him straight in and then eagerly prepared a carriage for them.

Luo Huanghun was speechless, but she agreed nonetheless. She was actually looking forward to going out with Murong Feng a little bit.

By the time the two reached the mountain top, it was already late. Murong Feng very efficiently set up a tent.

“The stars here are the most beautiful in the capital. My parents brought me here when I was a child.”

Luo Huanghun knew about Murong Feng’s parents. They had guarded the border between the State of Qing and the Great Yin, and both had died in a battle.

She silently took Murong Feng’s hand. Murong Feng pulled her into his embrace. “They say people turn into stars after they die. Perhaps my parents are watching us from the sky right now.”

Luo Huanghun gave a soft “mm.”

“You’ve met my parents now, so does that mean you agree to marry me?” Murong Feng suddenly lifted Luo Huanghun up, spinning her around a few times.

Luo Huanghun laughed and swatted at him. “Put me down this instant!”

She looked at Murong Feng and made a decision in her heart. There were only two months left. She wanted to be a free woman when she solemnly accepted Murong Feng’s proposal.

Luo Huanghun leaned against his chest. “Murong Feng, in two months, ask me that question again, okay?”

Murong Feng held her firmly.

Suddenly, a loud stomach growl echoed. Luo Huanghun was so embarrassed she wanted to find a hole to crawl into.

She lowered her head sheepishly. Murong Feng let out a light chuckle and returned a short while later with a wild rabbit.

Murong Feng kept turning the rabbit meat over the fire, and soon the savory aroma of fat filled the air.

Luo Huanghun held up two fingers. “The Prince owes me for saving his life—twice. Surely I deserve an extra rabbit leg?”

Murong Feng handed the entire rabbit to Luo Huanghun. She didn’t stand on ceremony, taking it and biting right in.

Murong Feng, however, spoke with a serious expression. “Speaking of life-saving debts, we martial artists value gratitude above all else. A life-saving debt…”

Luo Huanghun couldn’t help but prick up her ears, only to hear Murong Feng continue, “…should be repaid by offering oneself in marriage.”

With a “pfft,” Luo Huanghun choked on the rabbit meat, nearly gagging herself to death.

Murong Feng gave her a playful look and was about to speak when his expression suddenly changed. “Quiet!”
